Saguaro Glass Inc., is a family owned and operated business founded in 1981 in Phoenix, Arizona. We began our existence as a glass and glazing subcontractor, but soon realized the need in our own projects for a reliable, local, supplier of brake metal. Unable to find a supplier here in the "Valley of the Sun", we bought our first hand brake and slitter, and began to fabricate our own sill flashings, wall caps, and trims. Not long after another subcontractor on a project asked if he could purchase some brake metal from us, then another glass company wanted to know where we were getting our metal, they became a customer. Soon we had an active customer base of local general contractors, glass companies, and drywall companies.
With the potential for more business we soon expanded our fabrication facilities addding a new computerized, CnC controlled, folding machine to replace the old hand brake, and a new air shear to replace the slitter. The focus of our business gradually changed from glass company to custom, fabricated, metal supplier.
Today we have a brand new facility in Glendale Arizona, with two CnC controlled folding machines, two CnC controlled air shears, a notcher, and heavy duty punch. We supply the glass and glazing contractors, drywall contractors, and general contractors of the valley and the State, with a large variety of products. We make everything from simple L angles, Wall Caps, U-channels, all the way up to four sided boxes, Sill pans, and step bent radius shapes. Our state of the art machines and expert operators allow us to fabricate metals to fit almost any design.
In addition we can clad customers provided, or furnish and clad, storefront doors. Doors can be clad with a variety of metals including brushed stainless steel, polished (mirrorfinish) stainless steel, polished bright brass, copper, and any other metal available in sheet form.
Recognizing another need in the valley we have also become the distributor for Mapes Industries, and their wide range of panel products. We are also a recognized dealer and distributor for Kawneer Company, and their large range of storefront, curtainwall, and window products. We also have knowledgeable and experienced fabricators and can build storefront or curtainwall framing to meet your needs.
